My stella scooter is dying...?
I put her away for the winter, but ended up getting it out at least once a month for some quick short rides and to check on things. When I got her out this spring for some real riding everything was ok for about two days. Then on day 3 it was starting fine but would die out if you ran it in first without much throttle. Then it would die out while idling. It has been 3 days since then and everyday I can usually get it to start once and then it will die out right away, with or without applying throttle. After that one start, it will not turn over even with the kick start. The gas in the tank looked fine with no rust and I added in some fresh stuff just in case, I added new oil (it was about 3/4 full) checked the charge on the battery and I cleaned the spark plug. People are saying is may be due to winter "storage" but I had no issues with it while riding it in the winter or for the first few days of spring. I have never taken it to a shop before so I am quite worried about the cost.
even though the gas looks good it's not you will have to get your carb cleaned as the jets in the carb are so small that the least amount of varnish will clog them I had the same problem with mine once I cleaned it it ran great
lots of luck The first time I took it to the shop it cost about $95 the last time I bought a shop manual and did it myself
